What was the highlight of Coral Cliff Beach Resort Samui

Beautiful resort, excellent value.

The price-to-value ratio is superb. We stayed for six nights, and we were impressed with the beautiful view of the Gulf of Thailand. The views on the two small beaches are also beautiful. The restaurant is excellent, and we did not feel the need to dine elsewhere. We are now elsewhere in Ko Samui, and the food at the hotel compares favorably with the better restaurants elsewhere. The grilled white snapper was exceptional. The breakfast is exceptionally good. The staff is truly wonderful, and I actually miss them. They are a genuinely nice group that is helpful and kind. The bartender makes good drinks.

There is no gym; the sand on the beach is course. Everything is a bit old; the room we stayed in is old, a little musty, and needs some rehab work. The room safe is old fashioned and required some practice to set up. There was no serious problem, and for the small nightly rate, who can complain?

A really relaxing and enjoyable stay in beautiful surroundings

We stayed in a villa with private pool Beautiful sea view from villa and pool . Peaceful and relaxing . We hired a motorbike to get around as needed transport to get anywhere from the property.

The tiles on the private pool were broken and in need of repair .

Breathtaking!

Location location &location!!! What an absolutely breathtaking place to wake up to every morning. The pool area is great and we loved the infinity pool. Breakfast was nice and we ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food was enjoyable.

The staff had difficulty understanding English. The prices of alcohol at the pool was high so we walked down to the store and purchased our own and brought it in our travel mugs to enjoy the water and sunshine around the pool. Would be nice if they offered daily pool drink specials as this would have encouraged us to buy from the hotel.

Good

This hotel has the potential to be amazing where they could charge more because of being the only reef on the island however it massively needs updating. The rooms were the best part of the hotel, very spacious and modern they just need to follow that through the rest of the hotel. The view was amazing and the staff particularly the house keeping were great. Our sheets were fresh everyday!

The hotel itself needs a massive facelift. The pool, walk ways, restaurant and everything that was a communal area needs brightening, cleaning and just updating. The beach was also very dirty, as a beach resort they should try and organise a beach clean up. It's very sad to see so much plastic in the water. That being said we didn't have the best weather so maybe things got washed up that wouldn't normally be there. The last thing is the WiFi wasn't strong and the shower would go hot and cold.

Very Good

The property is located on a cliff and that allowed the hotel guests to enjoy a beautiful view and scenery. The breakfast was amazing. I had been craving proper breakfast, including bread, bacon and eggs and I got it. The staff were friendly. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. What goes around comes around. If you are friendly, they are also friendly. I read a lot of the comments here and most of the people sound very stuck up so expecting the world. The internet was also really good. Thank you for hosting us.

The Western food at the restaurant was not so good. The rooms were a bit dated but honestly, once you see the view you forget about the rooms. I did cut myself on the beach but it’s not called coral beach for nothing.

Great Clean place

The room size and view was amazing. The beach is great if you like snorkling but not good for swimming, you can walk to Silver bay 10 min walk for great swimming.

The only thing i didnt like was the internet, the internet is weak and signal comes and goes. Even when theres single dont expect to watch youtube or play brawl stars. Most you can do is send and recieve whatsapp messages. Internet strength and speed need to improve. Its also on the road side so you will hear traffic from time to time.

1 beautiful month at Coral Cove

As I lived in Coral Cove for a month, I can talk about my stay in a little more detail. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the staff. Whether restaurant staff, bartenders, reception or gardeners: everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. You were given a very warm welcome every day. The view from the restaurant and the infinity pool is absolutely breathtaking. I would come back again for that reason alone. The rooms are large and have a warm light. The food from the restaurant was delicious! Many thanks to all the people who made such a wonderful stay possible.

Unfortunately, the drain in the shower doesn't work properly and if you take a longer shower and wash your hair as a woman, the water overflows. The prices for laundry service are too high.

Beautiful, quiet location by the beach with lovely staff

The holiday suite on the beach was beautiful. Being able to walk down to your own private beach was amazing.

A few things needed repairing, like the sliding door lock on my room and air cond was very noisy. The stairs are a killer too, so not recommended that someone stay here who isn’t fit.

There were some problembs, but over at all Pleasant spot for enjoyment and relaxation.

Bungalow with a sea view was amazing, the staff was accommodating. The bathroom was spacious and open. The location between two villages, requiring a scooter for mobility. The breakfast was sufficient and tasty.

Our room had some issues; the air conditioner wasn't working, and there was no hot water. The staff promptly addressed and resolved the problems.

Peaceful stay with an exceptional view

The view from the room is beautiful, you get a private beach in front, the beach is rocky and full of pebbles, but offers beautiful snorkelling right from the shore.

Nothing in particular.. as built on a cliff expect a not of stairs to move around inside the property.. snorkel equipments provided to the guests must be of better quality.. we got few dysfunctional full face snorkel masks with water leaking inside through the valves.

Beautiful hotel would definitely go again.

We were upgraded to a bungalow upon arrival. The infinity pool is amazing! Good breakfast with a wide variety of dishes, fresh pancakes and eggs of choice.

The warm water in the shower could have been slightly warmer, although this was not a big issue for us. The airconditioning was quite loud which light be annoying for some at night

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay without too much going on this is the place for you.

The infinity pool was great and the sea view impressive. We loved having access to the snorkels and finding our own little private beach to explore the reef from.

All of the staff were lovely except one of the pool/pool bar men who striped us of our pool towels at 7.15 even though the pool area closed at 8pm. He also told off some guests for moving their sun loungers out of alignment! The second pool closest to the hotel was green and not clear blue as was seen on photos taken by family a few months prior. The restaurant menu doesn’t really cater for vegetarians.

Poor customer care

The beaches and infinity pool were lovely. Being able to walk around the beaches was needed after a full breakfast. Room service and food prices was really good.

Not being collected or taken back to the pier as a part of the booking. I thought all hotels did that without a charge. So, it started badly. We arrived a little early as we had an afternoon tea booking elsewhere but we're told there was no chance of getting into our room before 2. I know check in time is given but we all know hotels start cleaning at 12 so they can be flexible but there was no attempt to help here. Then they put our friends' room number on our bags and vice versa. We asked if they could call a taxi for us but we're told to stand out on the road, again an easily resolved issue which just shows care for your customers. Unfortunately for the reception staff we know some Thai so to hear them saying we were rude and why should they help us as we went to find a taxi, was upsetting. When we returned, our bags were still in reception. Any other hotel would have put them in your room already. Unfortunately for the reception staff we know some Thai so to hear them saying we were rude and why should they help us as we went to our rooms, , was upsetting. Our friends were taken to their room but my son and I had no idea where our room was and were told it was the same way but it was a floor lower and we had no idea so had to wait and then the man was surprised we were still there but then was helpful.

Lovely hotel nice friendly staff just a bit far away for anywhere

The rooms were nice and the staff lovely and helpful

Only problem is it’s in between towns so it’s a taxi to the nearest 7-11 at a cost of 400bht each way same into town which makes it expensive with staying a few days
